Sibley Area Youth Hockey does not offer a Junior Gold program. Players residing within the boundaries of ISD 197 who want to play Junior Gold Hockey must request a waiver from Sibley Area Youth Hockey.
Players that request waivers should follow Minnesota Hockey and District 8 policies on waivers.
Before contacting Gary Westman for a waiver, players should register online at http://www.usahockey.com as an individual player. This will cost $40. Bring your registration receipt when you request a waiver.
When players register with the receiving association, the association should deduct the $40 from their fees.
The waiver process must be completed in person. After the waiver is signed by Sibley Area Youth Hockey, it must be signed by:
(1) Receiving youth hockey association
(2) District 8 Director, Rich Rakness
(3) Other District Director if waiver is to an association outside of District 8
All signatures must be on the waiver before a player can begin participating in a Junior Gold program with another association.
Players should contact Scott Gray, District 8 Junior Gold Coordinator, if they need assistance finding a District 8 Junior Gold team to play on. All new junior gold players requesting a waiver to play for an association outside of District 8 need to contact Scott Gray before they can be waived outside of the district.
